26 Fairmont Avenue by Tomie dePaola
This story is about Tomie dePaola. It tells about his childhood. The main idea of the story is that Tomie moves to 26 Fairmont Avenue and all the adventures to building the house to having to hose down the house so it wouldn't catch fire. He also has little things that happened to him and people he was close to, like upstairs Nana and downstairs Nana. I would recommend this book to anyone that needs a good story on a rainy day. I think this book got an award because it tells about him when younger, in words you can relate to.

Did you know that Tomie dePaola has illustrated over 200 books, and written nearly 50 of those? Wow! Thanks for including this one Marley, it IS a winner.
ReplyDeleteI love Tomie dePaola and his books. He is so talented to be able to both write and illustrate his books! I also love the way he weaves his own life into his books. Good choice.
