The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
I like this book because it is interesting. Hugo was trying to finish his father's work by getting the key to go in the mechanical man. I think it got the Caldecott Award because it had so many cool and big pictures.

You are right, Isaiah. This book does have a lot of cool pictures, almost 300 pages of them! And all quite beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a unique book. Many students shy away from it, because it is so big, but over 3/4 of the book is the wonderful pen and ink drawings. I am so glad that you chose this book to read!
