Strega Nona by Tomie de Paola
Strega Nona had a magical pot that would cook soup in a second! A young man that helps Strega Nona saw how she made it cook but he did not know how to turn it off. He turned it on but the pot just kept overflowing! He had to eat all of the pasta to clean the village. I thought it should be an award winner because the story had good suspense and the punishment was funny.

I like pasta, but I sure don't want to have to eat a whole town full of it! What a great story about respecting the belongings of others!
