The Whipping Boy by Sid Fleischman
The Whipping Boy is a very old book. I loved the illustrations. The Whipping Boy is about a prince who does wrong things, like running through sewers. When he does these things, the Whipping Boy gets whipped. That's why his name is the Whipping Boy. My favorite part of the book was when Hold Your Nose Billy caught Prince Brat and the Whipping Boy tried to escape. I think it got the Newbery Award because it was a good book.

I bet anyone who ever got into trouble wishes they had a whipping boy to take their punishment for them! Great book choice Alex!
