Emily in Ms. Ludtke's Room

Joyful Noise by Paul Fleischman

Joyful Noise is about bugs, and some of the bugs are house crickets, honeybees, and the digging wasp. The book Joyful Noise tells about bugs and what they do in their habitat. For an example, the honeybee says she is a queen laying eggs all day by the hundreds and making wax. I think it won the Newbery Honor award because of the great illustrations, the wonderful poems and the neat insects.

  1. Which was your favorite? Mine were the honeybees. I love the way the Queen bee talks.
