Sarah, Plain and Tall is an exciting book about Papa, Anna and Caleb. Papa's wife passes away the day after Caleb's birth. Papa puts an add in the newspaper for a new wife. I think Sarah, Plain and Tall won the Newbery Award because it is a great book!

I like the way Anna and Caleb get to know Sarah and find out so much more about her than the fact that she is plain and tall. I connect with Sarah missing the ocean because if I moved away from Wilmington I would miss the sea as much as Sarah did! How about you?
